Welcome to Millbrooke, home of the Mountain Lions!

Our school is located in the heartland of the United States. The Olathe Public Schools is a major school district in the Kansas City metropolitan area and the second-largest school district in the state of Kansas. We are a community school serving approximately 375 students. Millbrooke opened in August 2014 at 11751 S. Sunnybrook Boulevard on the west side of Olathe.

We are committed to serving the students in our community and helping them to become leaders of themselves, others and the community. We began the process of implementing Stephen Covey’s leadership model of the 7 Habits by studying his book, "The Leader in Me," during the 2014-2015 school year. After completing training, we have now been awarded the Lighthouse School of Distinction. In 2021-22, Millbrooke made the Franklin Covey list of Academic Honor Roll schools.

Our school has a positive climate, embracing the philosophy of school-wide Positive Behavior Supports. As a school, we focus on three behavioral expectations: I am KindI am Responsible and I am Respectful. The staff worked together to design a matrix to define expectations in each area of the building. The expectations are taught and practiced to help everyone at Millbrooke know and follow these expectations. Students demonstrating expectations will be given Leader Loot, which becomes currency for rewards.
